About American Veteran Nation
What do we do?
Simply put, American Veteran Nation's primary goal is to provide help and assistance when other organizations can't. Got a problem? Got a small financial need? Give us a call. No guarantees, however if we are able to help, we will... and without the red tape!
The only requirement is that you are a Veteran and you legitimately are "in-need." We do not assign an exact definition to this term. Best described, it would be if you are unable to provide it for yourself. We will evaluate each request on a case by case basis.

Our history of supporting Veterans includes:
- Donating Meals, Supplies, and Clothing
- Worked with a local Auto Shop to fix up and donate 2 used cars
- Located Resources to repair a needy Veteran's home
- Provide limited guidance and direction in assisting with VA claims
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Simply put- we hold events and raise funds the old fashioned way! And since we are a volunteer group, the vast majority of the funds we raise are devoted to our mission. The more we raise, the more we can help. We have also partnered with other organizations and businesses to get things done.

2) Community-Support Veterans in need by orienting our efforts on helping the Veteran community and working towards a unified goal to bring comfort and support to our Veterans and their family’s needs.
3) Military Pride- Establish and support a strong sense of pride in having served our Nation!

Levels of Membership
COME VISIT US!
We meet every other Wednesday night at 1900 at the Tiverton VFW. Let us know ahead of time and we will save you a seat! This is the best way to see what we do and who we are!
Support Member - Anyone can be a Support Member simply by being involved. Support members can provide input into discussion. They often assist with events. There is no requirement to have served in the military for this level of membership.
Associate Member - must be a Veteran with a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge or Under Honorable Conditions. Those with unfavorable discharges will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Associates contribute 50% of the dues. Their input is encourage for conversations during our meeting, however they do not have voting rights. Those willing to step up can be cultivated to becoming a Full Member.
Full Member - This level requires more. Full Members are the heart and soul of the organization. Prospective Full Members must be vetted and a vote of 100% of the current voting membership is required to be accepted to this level. Full members have the ability to not only participate, but also have a RIGHT TO VOTE in all decisions. Only Full Members may be considered for Elected Officer positions.
Officers - This level comprises the "leadership" of American Veteran Nation. The Offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer all require an election of the Voting membership. These Officers serve a 4 year term and may be re-elected.
The President then has the power to appoint any Full Level Member to the following positions:

- Sergeant at Arms - This officer is responsible for maintaining order and protocols during meetings.
- Chaplin - This office is responsible for the well being of the organization. Also conducts the opening and closing prayers during meetings.
- Media Manager - This officer is responsible for maintaining the organization's public and social media image and overall marketing.
- Safety Officer - This officer is responsible for making sure all safety protocols are followed during meetings and events.
